  • You can park at various locations along the path. Good spots are Oakledge park or battery park area at the bottom of Main Street. From here you can head north. From Main Street it is about 5.25 miles on the path. Then you go over a bridge and zig zag through a neighborhood for about a mile which leads you to Airport Park in Colchester. From here you can take a left and continue on a very nice dirt path which leads to the famous and beautiful Causeway which is. Small strip of land w Lake Champlain on both sides and beautiful views of the mountains . This dirt path goes about another 3 or so miles. If you choose to start by heading south on the bike path ( from Main Street) you will go about 3 miles to the end, here you can zig zag through a neighborhood for about a mile and end up at Red rocks park for some trail blazing.
