DescriptionThe Glenwood Canyon Bike and Pedestrian Path follows the winding course of the Colorado River between Glenwood Springs and Dotsero. The paved trail is easy going and heavily used by outdoor recreationists of all pursuits. There are plenty of resting areas, as well as picnic sites, restrooms and fishing access points. Start the trail in Glenwood Springs just east of the Yampah Hot Springs and Vapor Springs. In town, you can also hook up with the Rio Grande Trail, which heads south and east to Aspen or hop on the Atkinson Canal path and run along the Roaring Ford River. Don't miss out on a hike up to Hanging Lake when the path passes through that area.
