DescriptionAn 8.9-mile crushed limestone rail-to-trail running from Rochester, MI to Lake Orion, MI, open year-round from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The trail begins near the Rochester Municipal Park and runs to the northwest, ending just south of downtown Lake Orion. The trail is pretty flat, with about a 2% grade running south to north and no hills. There are eight parking lots and a few restrooms (though some of the restrooms may have limited hours and/or seasonal limitations) located along the trail. The trail is suitable for running, biking, and walking, and horses are permitted north of Dutton Rd. There are distance markers every half mile, and signs with maps and trail regulations at several points along the trail. More information is available on the trail's website: http://www.paintcreektrail.org/
