DescriptionA really nice trail that connects three different state parks / preserves together via a greenway. Great for Hiking and Trail Running. Some areas are mountain bike friendly as well. (There are parallel trails for hiking and biking) Marked on the map is the Parking area (free) for Trail View state park from this point, you can go north about 6 miles north, eventually ending at the parking area at Cold Spring Harbor State Park. If you cross Jericho Turnpike from the parking area and look for the south bound trail, it is about 8 miles one way to Bethpage State Park. Follow the solid white rectangles on the tree trunks to stay on the Greenbelt as there are other trails that split off. The Greenbelt is occasionally a narrow area of land, at times you can see houses through the trees, but most of the time it is quite wooded.
