DescriptionA long standing gem of the Amherst/New Boston, NH area! These are real TRAILS, New England style. BOOM! No prissy paved bike paths in sight! Beaver ponds, stream crossings, rocks and roots; this makes for a true cross country experience whether you're running, mountain biking, hiking, or cross-country skiing (the latter recommended only in winter, but it's totally up to you). Open all four seasons (summer, fall, winter, and mud), but to experience the area at its absolute best, go in late September or early/mid October when the foliage is at it's peak!

Since the land is part of the Souhegan Valley Land Trust http://www.svlt.org/), you won't come across a single house or road crossing.

After your awesome hike, bike, run, or ski, hop over to The Cider Mill (http://cidermillcafe.com/), a cute general store which has been operating since the beginning of time*, or the neighboring fake swiss (but still kinda cute) shopping village of Salzburg Square http://salzburgsquare.com/), home to a spa, gift "shoppe"**, and restaurant, among other things. For more options, it's an easy 5-10min. drive to the bustling Milford Oval, in the heart of Milford NH.

*this statement has not yet been verified by our fact checkers, who are still looking for someone who was around back then.
**not swiss
