DescriptionA medium-long run through the parks of Copenhagen can see you take in a number of the city's main sights, while avoiding some of the city's busiest roads. There are paths around the lakes to the west of the city centre, though these can get very busy at times. Ørstedsparken, the Botanic Gardens, and Østre Anlæg park, a series of green areas along the city's old fortification ring, and the adjacent Rosenborg Castle and Park provide relief from the bustling city, and link to Kastellet, one of the city's most interesting attractions. Kastellet is an ancient fortification, and the gravel path atop the fortification mound is a perfect place to run. From there you can visit the iconic Little Mermaid statue on the seafront. Heading back towards the city centre along the waterfront you can hit some of the city's other famous sites, including Amalienborg Slot, Frederikskirken and Nyhavn, though you should expect some busy streets and crossings along the way.
