DescriptionMilton Keynes, a planned town built in the 1960s, is crossed by multi-use paths and surrounded by parks and green spaces. The origional design concept aimed for a forest in the city, and as a result, once you get outside of the main centre, the town is a pleasant place for a run, walk or cycle. A series of bridges and underpasses, means that you can get around most of the area without having to cross busy roads, and there is a variety of surrounds, along canals, through parks and around lakes. The vast majority of paths are paved, and there is little soft ground.
