DescriptionA fire road in the Pt. Reyes National Seashore that is great for family hiking and/or cycling. Slight grades but nothing severe. Beautiful ocean views. Stop and look for sea creatures along the beach (we saw gray whales!), and have fun on the rope swing in the big eucalyptus tree near the Coast campground (2.9 miles to campground). There's a bathroom at the campground. If on foot, you can do a loop by taking the Fire Ln Trail/Laguna Trail near the campground to get back to the parking area (bikes only allowed on Coast Trail).

Fire road was recently repaired from erosion in some sections. Gravel in the beginning, then mostly dirt. Parking available on shoulder of Limantour Spit Rd near HI Pt. Reyes Hostel.
