DescriptionTechnically known as Natalie Coffin Greene Park but locally called Phoenix Lake, this location is a great jumping off point for hikes/runs/mountain bike rides of pretty much any distance your heart, lungs & legs desire. You can access fire roads and single track (no mtn bikes) with a mix of grades (some steep but also plenty that are gradual). The fireroad around Phoenix Lake is relatively flat and good for a family hike with young ones (single-track that allows you to make a full loop does have some grade, but is a fun adventure).

Dogs allowed on leash in MMWD lands. Water fountain & dog bowl just west of ranger/caretaker residence. Share the path: many types of users (equestrians too).

Some options (both can be accessed off the fire road that runs along the right side of the lake near the ranger/caretaker residence, immediately visible once you come up the fire road from the parking lot):
- Bald Hill is a short (4 miles RT), steep climb/descent on a fire road with killer views of the Bay on clear days.
- Yolanda/Hidden Meadow/Shaver Grade is a mix of single-track & fire road with ups & downs through golden California hills and oaks (approx. 5 mile loop).
