DescriptionTroop 80 is a nice single-track trail that parallels Panoramic Hwy to the south. Lots of shade, bridges for stream crossings and mostly smooth, soft surface (rocky in a few areas). Not pancake flat but nothing long or dramatic, either. Troop 80 itself is a relatively short trail (~2 miles from parking lot) but just prior to and at Van Wyck Meadow you can hook up to a multitude of trails that will take you towards Muir Woods, Mt. Tam or Stinson Beach, whatever your preference (note: these routes will not be flat!).

You can do this route as an out & back or travel to Bootcamp campground to hook up to the Matt Davis Trail, which you can take back to Mtn Home Inn parking area. Trails are well-marked. At one point along the trail it splits & there are 2 bridges seemingly going in the same direction. Follow the FS signs & take the higher bridge.

While the Mill Valley end of the trailhead is technically off of Alice Eastwood Rd., the pin is dropped at the parking area across from Mtn. Home Inn, which is free & there are bathrooms. Walk down the steps of the trail at the north end of the parking lot to get to Alice Eastwood Rd., then go 0.4 miles to reach the Troop 80 trailhead.
