DescriptionThis a 3 mile crushed stone path that loops around Rice University. On sunny days, this is one of the few places to get a good run with some shade. The university campus and the surrounding neighborhoods make an attractive backdrop for a sweat session. There are drinking fountains along the path. While the path is not lighted, there are enough lights along the streets for evening running; however, be safe and run with a friend or two at night if possible. It's a good area, but it has not been without incident. The path isn't very wide, so peak times can get tight. Please don't crowd the path by staying side-by-side when others are approaching. :)
