DescriptionDespite its name, the San Diego Creek Trail is a 12 mile multi-use path in Irvine runs E/W from Upper Newport Bay to Barranca (largely paralleling Harvard) then south through the center of Irvine toward the 405/5 split & The Irvine Spectrum. Popular route for running & cycling, particularly near UC Irvine campus (super easy to hop on the trail from campus). Wide, paved path with gravel along the sides for softer surface running.

Pin is dropped at San Marco Park where parking is available. There are many access points along the route. Near campus, I'd recommend parking at the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary or University Center (just make sure they don't think you're a student parking there & going onto campus). Shopping center parking lots along the route may also be good options.

Here is an off-street bike system map from the City of Irvine's website: http://www.cityofirvine.org/civica/filebank/blobdload.asp?BlobID=16359
