DescriptionRunners living or staying in South Liverpool are spoiled for choice, but Sefton Park is undoubtedly one the best places in the city to run or exercise. A wide, mostly compacted dirt path circles the entire park, and there are a number of paved paths through the park. There are also large grass areas, and the British trails for the European Cross Country Championships are held in the park every November. Regional road relay events are also regularly held in the park. There is a cycle path on the road circling the park, making it suitable for road cycling. The park can form part of a longer run also taking in Otterspool park and Promenade, Sudley Estate, Colderstones Park or some of the other parks in the area. Don't forget to explore the centre of the park too. It's a nice place to picnic during the summer.
