DescriptionA bit off the beaten path, this is a wonderful network of City of Encinitas recreation trails for runners, walkers, cyclists & equestrians alike! Park at Little Oaks Equestrian Park (expect horse trailers, given its name) and then head right out onto the trail along Lone Jack Rd. You can do a relatively flat out & back up Lone Jack or add some hills by taking any of the trail spurs you see on intersecting roads along the way. Trail is mostly dirt with wood chips in some spots. I put it in the 7-10 mileage range because you could probably get 8 if you added the spurs. Up & back on Lone Jack is around 4-5 miles.
