The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University

Local TipsParking is a bit of a hassle. There is no parking inside the park. You have to find a parking spot along the busy road just outside of the gates.

DescriptionBeautiful area for running, walking, and hiking. There wide smooth paved roads, which are closed to the cars, so it is a very safe area for riding, running, as well as walking with a stroller. I love this area because of the variety of paths. Not only are there really nice paved areas, but there are awesome soft dirt/crushed gravel trails in the woods. There is also a good variety of hilly and flat areas. Perfect for workouts (NO CARS!). The Arboretum is beautiful anytime of year, but it is especially beautiful in the spring, when everything is blooming, as well as in the fall when everything is turning. :) More info and maps here: http://arboretum.harvard.edu/
