DescriptionAn experimental forest that has a variety of trails. The main trail loop, the Lemmien Loop, is approximately 2.3 miles. There are many side trails that allow one to customize the distance and get to double digits. The trails are fairly wide in most places and soft. The condition varies, with some trails fairly well packed and others somewhat sandy/looser. There are hills throughout the forest, and doing the Lemmien Loop will involve both uphills and downhills. Portions of the forest are part of the North Country Trail. The forest is open every day except Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Easter Sunday. The forest opens at 8:00 a.m. daily and closes at 8:00 p.m. from April 1 through the last Sunday in October and at dusk the remainder of the year. There is plenty of parking available, and restrooms are located at the rear of the large building just north of the main parking lot.
