DescriptionThe Santa Fe Valley Trail is part of the San Dieguito River River Park Coast to Crest Trail, a 55 mile trail that will connect the coastline & Pacific Crest in San Diego County via a non-motorized trail system (not complete yet). This particular trail segment runs west from the the parking area (1.9 miles), while the Del Dios Gorge Trail runs east from same parking area (~2 miles); both make up an archaeologically-rich section of San Dieguito River Valley.

This trail is for hike, run, walk, mountain bike AND equestrians. Use trail etiquette when passing horses. No water on the trail. Dogs on leash.

Parking/staging area is off Del Dios Highway near Calle Ambiente in Rancho Santa Fe. Go to www.sdrp.org/trails.htm for more info on the San Dieguito River Park's trail system.
