DescriptionBeautiful, scenic natural Florida landscape with a 13 mile loop sandy-dirt trail, perfect for running, walking, hiking and cycling. I've always had a good experience at this park. Also raced in cross-country 5k on these trails - good footing on mostly smooth, flat terrain.
As part of headwaters of Wekiwa River, the park offers a glimpse of what Central Florida looked like before development and tourism settled into area. Great for on-foot activity or simply to relax in natural setting, enjoy a picnic. Swimming is awesome in the cool spring water, kayaking and canoe (rentals avail.) along Wekiwa River and Rock Springs Run.
There is a nominal admission fee, well worth the cost for the great quality of park, trail, facilities: $4.00 Single Occupant Vehicle, $6.00 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle, $2.00 Pedestrians, bicyclists. Camping includes full facility campground and primitive camping areas.
