DescriptionA beautiful, mostly flat trail along Oak Creek in Oak Creek Canyon just north of Sedona. Plenty of shade so even cool in the summer, and there are great swimming holes along the way for cooling off (there can be snow in the winter too, though doesn't stick around). First 1/4 mile is paved & accessible to the bridge crossing Oak Creek. The trail then turns soft & all other creek crossings are rocks/in the water (expect wet feet!). This is a VERY busy trail location for tourists & there is a $10 daily fee for parking (Red Rock Pass & Nat'l Park Pass not taken at this parking area; there may even be a fee for walking in), so be warned. It is a beautiful hike though, and the crowds don't walk that far in. You can run here but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it, given the number of hikers on the trails at any time during the day.
