DescriptionStraight as a bee line 1.8 mile rail trail in SE Lexington. Completed section of a much larger planned project. Runs from Man O War Blvd and Bryant Rd SE to Walnut Grove Ln near that road's turnaround in King Property (Park). A couple of suburban road crossings. Park at Pleasant Ridge Rd with rest rooms and parking. North end accessed either by Bryant Rd or steps from Man O War. Trail runs literally between backyards for .72 mile, crosses Pleasant Ridge Rd, traverses wooded property currently in or awaiting development, crosses Polo Club Blvd and finishes through most open wooded land to south end. No parking at the north end but just west of enormous Hamburg shopping district with multiple malls, stores and parking lots. South end, there are a few grass easements for parking. About 1/3 asphalt, the remainder concrete. Underpasses I-75. Some dips and bumps but no hills.
