DescriptionAtlanta's premier City Park. Piedmont park is easily accessible from the downtown area. Nice wide running areas with several loops. There is a one mile loop in the middle of the park that is great for doing mile repeats. If you happen to be in town on Saturday the
there is a large farmer's market. There are nice views of the city -- very quiet in the early mornings - great watching the sunrise on the buildings. When riding the MARTA (train) the park is a short walk from Arts Center or Midtown stations with a short walk down 10th street. http://www.piedmontpark.org/visit/park_map.html

  • This park is beautiful! It was designed by the same guy who designed Central park! And it is in an incredible location in between two of Atlanta's best neighborhoods. There are rolling hills, pretty trees, and plenty of eye-candy, which all makes for great scenery while running or walking. Also, it is just off of the Beltline, which is the new running/walking path, which is also great for running/walking, and will eventually connect all around the city. ( by jrubin3 on 2014-04-24 )
