DescriptionA pleasant park with some nice open fields to play, but more importantly it is the beginning of the Backbone Trail that runs 68 miles down the length of the Santa Monica Mountains. A great place to run, hike or mountain bike. There is a short (2 mile) loop to Inspiration Point in the park, or you can hit the Backbone or one of the other trails for a longer day.
The park is very dog friendly, and the inspiration point loop occasionally has horses on it, but I have never had any problem encounters with any of the animals.
