DescriptionOut and back from Visitors Center to Arch Rock. Trail climbs gently then descends on way out. Epic destination run.

  • Beautiful trail. Mostly shaded and often foggy once you reach the coast (4 miles in). Bikes are allowed on the fire road section of Bear Valley Trail (3 miles); there is a rack where you can lock your bike to go the last mile on foot to reach the ocean (wide single track). Note: there was a earthen collapse at Arch Rock in March 2015; that trail is closed indefinitely, but you can still view the ocean from the Coast Trail, which you intersect with.
