DescriptionThis semi-regional park, parcels for which were acquired in the 1960?s and 1970?s, along the Cowskin Creek contains a variety of plants and wildlife. The park has been designated as a Wichita Wild Habitat area. Facilities include a five-mile bridle trail, an eight-mile nature trail and a nature center converted from the former horse stables. • Other than main concrete paths its hard to follow the trails. I hit many dead end trails and many were very muddy or water logged. I slipped over once, got soaked feet twice and ended up with very muddy shoes. The location was great as I'm staying at a hotel near the airport, but just ended up very a fairly frustrating run.
