DescriptionA classic no livestock allowed canyon trail. Great place to avoid the crowds of Bright Angel and South Kaibab. Trail is maintained, easy to follow. Backpackers usually head to hermit camp or the river from here. You could hike for days. No permit needed for day hikes, permits needed for overnight use. RIde a bike to the trailhead and go for a hike from there. Otherwise, take an early shuttle bus to the end of the road and go from there. No private vehicles allowed on the hermit road. A local favorite hiking only trail in Grand Canyon National Park.
